December 30th - January 3rd - New Years and Work

Soooo this was supposed to be Josh's blog update but I'm going to do it for him, he is "too busy".  He is "too busy" for a good reason - he has been working at least 12 hours a day harvesting.  I am so lucky and blessed to have such a great husband - he truly treats me like a "princess" (there you go Darren ;) and has no complaints when we sprung on him an Adelaide shopping trip.  I did not do much shopping as a result of my unemployment but today I went on the hunt and I have some things lined up for this week (office work and volunteering).

Our blog won't have many updates for the next week as we are staying around Naracoorte and working.  February and March is when we will be travelling and will have tons of updates - we are planning on going up the East Coast but it depends on the flooding in a few weeks, right now it is terrible.  If it continues to rain this week along the East Coast we are thinking of flying over to New Zealand for a few weeks instead.

Adelaide waterfront (this is what I do while my wonderful husband is working hard - shopping!:

Georgie, Anne and I were craving a cold beverage at the end of the day.  Needless to say we were kicked out of two places before we could sit down.  The first establishment would not serve a alcoholic beverage without food and the second place we were kicked out because we were wearing flip flops.  It was a tough crowd :)  Eventually we found a place that served us a beer and we could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine while wearing our flip flops and not order any food.

Our beautiful new ride (it reminds me of Steph's station wagon - only thing missing is the bullet hole and the wood panelling) :
